Rules
The
race will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the
Prescriptions of the RYA,
the
MYC Cruiser Class Sailing Instructions, including any supplementary S.I.’s,
and appropriate ORC, rating authority and class rules. ISAF Advertising
Code Category C and IRC2000 Part 3 (IRC-C) apply.

|
Cruiser
Class Div 1 shall fly Numeral Pennant No. 1
Cruiser
Class Div 2 shall fly Numeral Pennant No. 2, except
that Medway Sonata OD boats may fly
International Code Flag F instead of No. 2 Pennant when racing in Div 2.

2.2
|
Eligibility
to Race
Cruiser
Class Div 1 ( IRC )
is open to mono hull Cruisers having a current valid RORC IRC rating
certificate with a TCC above 0.750 and a minimum SSS of 10. ( Div 1 will
race as a single Class for all IRC rated boats )
Cruiser
Class Div 2
(MYA PN ) is open to mono hull Cruisers having a valid MYA
P N certificate .
Boats
without a valid 2007 MYA PN certificate should apply in good time to the MYA
Cruiser Handicapper for an application form. ( Contac MYC office, tel.
01634 718399, or MYC web site ).

Boats
must be sailed in rating trim, carry a copy of their rating certificate on
board and be available for inspection.

The
race committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.

Race
Programme.
Start
Times will be as shown above, any variation will be made in accordance with
the Sailing Instructions.
Races
will be started using the "5,4,1,Go" system, with the Warning
signal at 5 minutes before the start.

Scoring
System. Points
will be awarded using the RRS Appendix A Low Point System. (A2 and A9 will
apply).

Instructions.

5.1
|
MYC
Cruiser Class 2007 Sailing Instructions will apply together with any
Supplementary Sailing Instructions.
S.S.I.
's will be issued by MCC and USC to define their start/finish lines and
procedures for their two races.
These
will be posted to entrants and will also be available from the MYC
administration office (01634 718399), or the joint series administrator, MYC
Cruiser Class Treasurer, Marilyn Stewart (01322 446322).

Courses, designated by
numbers, will be selected from the MYC "Cruiser Class" Course
Sheet, revised 2007, unless otherwise stated in Supplementary Sailing
Instructions.
Courses
set may only be shortened by a committee boat finish line correctly
established at a mark of the course.

Time
Limit will
be 1500 hours and any boats not finishing by 1700 hours will be scored as
"DNF"..

Race
Entry Conditions and Fees.

|
A
signed Entry Form must be received before the start of the boat’s first
race.
Entry Forms can be obtained from the MYC office (01634 718399 ) or
Marilyn Stewart (01322 446322), or host club race organisers, Andy Homer
(MCC), Mike Wallis (MYC) and Hubba Haniel (USC).

Prizes.
The
trophies named above will be presented to
the Class winners at the Cruiser Class Prize Giving at the Strood Plate
Dinner in the MYC clubhouse on Saturday 17th November, 2007.
Additional
keepsake prizes will be awarded dependant upon the number of starters in each
race.
Where
practicable, the host club will present the individual race prizes as soon as
possible after each race.
O.A
place numbers will not count towards the Captains Cup (Div 1) or Gill
Cup (Div 2) scores for the season.
